Event Gallery: The Spring 2010 Madison Classics Car Show and Swap Meet

Another BangShift.com field photo agent, Greg Rourke, has come through with a killer dispatch from his home state of Wisconsin. Greg recently attended the Spring Madison Classics Car Show and Swap Meet. It was a muddier, more brat-filled, version of the Carlisle event you saw photos of earlier in the day. There was lots of killer junk for sale and Greg zapped more than 100 highlight photos!

Here’s what Greg had to say about the event:

Spring Jefferson is a huge annual car show and swap meet put on by Madison Classics. It’s so big you can’t see the whole thing in one day at a brisk walk. There are hard core, hard to find old car parts, and guys selling rusty chainsaws. The car corral seems to empty out every barn of every old car in Wisconsin. The car show is usually huge, but this year’s steady drizzle, interrupted only for a few downpours, kept the car count way down. The whole town gets in on the act, with cars for sale in many driveways, and every house in a mile radius offering parking for $5. The swap meet is the friendliest you will find, it seems more of a reunion of gearheads after the long Wisconsin winter. Most vendors had grills going, and a few may have been indulging in a barley pop or three. We were quite muddy at the end of the day, but wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Trade for cows?!
