Galleries:Our Photos From the PSCA’s Street Car Supernationals VIII – Door Slammer Action!

(Photos by Rob Kinnan) – If you missed our live streaming broadcast of the 2012 PSCA Street Car Supernationals you failed to see one of the great door slammer drag races of all time. ET records were set and reset, Al Jiminez became the first racer to run more than 200mph on a damned leaf spring, a fist full of cars went into the 5.70s (quarter mile), and a great time was had by all. Rob Kinnan (yes, THAT Rob Kinnan) was on the scene for BangShift all weekend long blasting photos. We took his great shots of action, pits, and thrash stuff, made them into a couple of galleries, and now we post those below for you.

The Street Car Supernationals has been a fantastic event over the eight years that the race has been contested but in 2012, stuff got REAL. This recently passed weekend will got down in history as one of the, if not the quickest and fastest gathering of door slammer drag race iron in the history of mankind.

Don’t believe us? Hit the links and cruise the galleries below for proof of the bad-assery that went down in Vegas!

Big thanks to Kinnan for the camera work. Great shots!! We all should thank Chad. He was still breaking down equipment at 10 pm last. Thanks for the hard work.

Never guess that Kinnan is a chevy guy!!!He must have had a finger twitch a couple times as he actually took a few non-scrub photos!!!!

    Thanks for the coverage.
As usual you did an amazing job.
I was fortunate enough to be racing this year in Super Index and my wife was back home in Oregon watching the live feed.
Gotta’ admit though you gave her a scare. I was the Blue and Orange
’68 Firebird that beat the Beautfiful ’64 Chevelle that stuffed it into the wall right bewhind me after the finish line.
My wife was a little stressed not being able to see the carnage clearly.
    Thanks again for the coverage.
