Gallery: Chryslers at Carlisle

BangShift contributing photographer Joe Grippo bleeds Ford blue, but he’s also got a few Ma Mopar cells in his bloodstream as well because his best girl races an awesome 1965 Coronet. Joe hit the show for a single day this year and ran around firing off photos like some sort of crazed photographic machine gunner.

There was tons of great drag machinery there and Joe nabbed lots snaps of old Pro Stocks, Super Stocks, and sportsman race cars. He also hit the swap meet, car corral, and anything else he could during his abbreviated stay at the massive Carlisle facility. There’s even a sweet ass van in the mix!

Man, the late 50s and early 60s 300 cars were sexy machines.

Also, anyone know what the MCG van has for an engine. Nice to see the weed-burners out the side.

    What’s Milner’s Coupe and Steve’s “Brand C” ’58 doing at a MoPar show?

Lots of bitchin pre-FIAT, pre-Daimler, pre-Iacocca Pentastars on display, though . . . Loved the Street Kit Car and the World 600 Pace Car.

I’m pretty sure the MCG Van has a small block. I could be wrong.

The Bat Mobile, Milner and Bolander’s Cars were on display in the “celebrity” building…along with a Christine Fury and a General Lee. Paul LeMat, John Schiender, Cindy Williams and one of the bad guys from Christine were signing stuff on one of the building. I bypassed the line and checked out the cars. I was more excited to see Herb McCandless.

Great show,; I would love to make it to just about ANY Carlisle show!

I would also love to see the engine block that the broken con-rod in image 143 came out of!
