(Photos by Joe Grippo) – The Simeone Museum is an incredible place when you consider that virtually everything in it belongs to one dude, Dr. Fred Simeone. Not one to just allow everything to sit and collect dust, Simeone puts on a couple of “demonstration” days each year where he pulls out some of the coolest stuff in the collection and beats on it in front of the public. It just so happens that out own Joe Grippo is a member of said public and he was there to take in the most recent of these events which was held yesterday! At this demo, a real GT40 was given the business, along with a 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa, and amazingly, one of the original Shelby Daytona coupes. Most people will never see these three cars sitting in static display, let alone smelling, hearing, and watching them zip around the lot at the museum.
Thanks for the photos Joe!

Best pictures I’ve seen in a while, the Shelby Daytona coupe is amazing. Can anyone tell me where I can read more on the history of this particular car?
