(Photos by Joe Grippo) – As promised, we’re back with another collection of photos from the Eastern Motor Racing Museum and our photo shootin’ Pennsylvania pal Joe Grippo. This time we’re going to see some old school drag machines like Dave Strickler’s legendary “Old Reliable” Z-11 Chevy, some classic gasser love, and even some vintage drag racing ‘Vettes. Along with those cool cars, Joe spent time with the museum’s huge collection of engines. From all aluminum Yenko cast big block Chevys to wild little Studebaker mills with bizarre intake manifolds, there’s lots of love in this collection of 100 photos.

    More great stuff!
Can someone shed some light on the red V8 with black valve covers.
It has the crazy manifold with the side draft carbs front and rear?

I did get that far, I was curious about the odd design of the intake manifold. It seems that they were after a very low profile… at the significant cost of air flow efficiency. I have never seen one like it and do not know the purpose / application.
        Thanks!

I must have driven by that place a hundred times going up to Williams Grove, swearing each time I’d stop in someday. Was glad I finally did.

    Thanks for the pictures, Joe.
