(Words and photos by Scott Liggett) – Central Nebraska car shows are already in full swing starting with a local car club’s second annual Rock n Rods car show hosted by Kearney’s Highway Creepers car club. Taking place in downtown Kearney in and around Gilley’s bar and grille.
This may have been the Highway Creepers second show, but it is already a hit with nearly 100 participants and a few hundred spectators braving cold, cloudy and windy conditions to check out a bunch of cool rods and customs.
The members of Highway Creepers have a variety of hot rods among their ranks, but they lean towards low riders and rat rods that are anything but ratty. Grew up in Kearney. Haven’t been back in over 30 years. But its always been a hot rod town.
I amazed at the hot rods per capita in Central Nebraska. Lot of high end rods and muscle cars around here.
