(Photos by Charles Wickam) – It has become a yearly Thanksgiving weekend tradition around here to bring you coverage from the Houston Autorama which gets the entire Autorama season kicked off. Charles Wickam is on the scene again this year blasting photos and bringing us all the coverage that you can stand from this huge show in Texas. We’re always happily surprised by the cars and trucks that those show draws and because Charles has awesome access he’s able to sneak into the show before it opens and stay after it closes. That’s really important for getting great photos without battling the always monster crowd.

From historic drag race cars to ISCA show queens, to swap meet gems like the flip top wagon you see above, the Houston Autorama has the gearhead bases covered from front to back. This is a collection of photos from load in day when the final polishing was being done, when the displays were being built, and when everyone was trying to figure out where their piece of the huge convention center floor was.
