Bonneville RULES! IT RULES! Seriously, it rules and you need to be out here with us. All the cool kids are doing it, and this is one time not to listen to your mother about peer pressure. The salts has dried out, we are running on all four courses, and we’ve got great photos from Long Course One which wasn’t open yesterday because of wet conditions. We’re still shooting a ton more photos and will have another gallery up later today.
If you checked out our gallery yesterday you know that Jason Line, NHRA Summit Pro Stock Driver, is in the house driving Wayne Jesel’s famed Dodge truck. Our photos show Jason trying to talk Dean, the starter, into signing his license run time slip where Jason went 22 mph faster than he was supposed to. Didn’t happen. LOL But, Jason is in impound right now after getting his licensing done yesterday and qualifying for a record this morning. He’ll try to back it up tomorrow morning and we’ll be here to see if he can.
Our buddy Lee Sicilio and the team are getting ready to make their first checkout pass in the newly finished 1969 Dodge Daytona later this afternoon and we’ll be in the push truck getting photos. Also check out the blog item coming shortly that introduces the car and their goals. We also shot a complete feature on the car yesterday evening and will have that up later this week.
