(Photos by Charles Wickam) – We’re going to be bringing you some of the most comprehensive and best 2013 Lonestar Rod and Kustom Round Up coverage on the web this week thanks to our man Charles Wickam who made it to Austin and shot photos until one of his fingers fell off…then he switched hands and kept going. No joke. This first gallery is from one of the evening gatherings that happen all around Austin at night when the show closes down and thousands of hot rods and kustoms take to the streets. This particular cruise in happened at the wonderfully nostalgia Top Notch Burgers stand and if there is anything neater than hot rods parked at an outdoor burger joint on a warm night we sure as hell have not found it yet!
This is a gallery about quality over quantity. This group of cars is cool from top to bottom but there are some absolute stunners in here. The green roadster below is but one. We’re still freezing our eggs off up here and Wickam is hanging out with the likes of this iron?! Our blood runs cold with jealousy!

Anybody want a camera? Wickam just rendered mine useless…..
I do, I need a backup LOL
Roundup on South Congress has gotten so crowded with onlookers cruising in their mini-vans that it has lost some of its magic. Plus the cops are everywhere now. The best new attractions are the small hangouts such as Top Notch and down Burnet Road the Poodle Dog Lounge. Man, I have never seen so many lead sleds slammed on the ground as I did that night at the Poodle.
