Massive Gallery: The Carlisle All Ford Nationals

Joe Grippo is a lot of things to us here at BangShift but first and foremost, he’s a Ford man. That being said, it should come as no surprise that he nearly wore the shutter button off of his camera snapping photos as the massive Carlisle All Ford Nationals. From monster Aerostar vans to fabulous Falcon wagons, this show has everything a love of the blue oval could possibly want to see.

Of course there’s a swap meet that is full of stuff both common and hewn from unobtanium. We threw in a photo of an awesome multi-Weber carb intake manifold for a 427ci Cammer motor below. Joe sent us more than 400 photos from the event and we’re sure there are a couple hundred more on the editing room floor that didn’t make his cut.

Can someone give me any dirt on the George Aberts red ’61 with all the trophies sitting around it? I’m loving that car!

Love all the P/S lookin’ Pintos, too!

Even though I didn’t make it to the show, Thanks to you Joe, I feel like I did after looking at the gallery.

    Awesome job!

This is a clone of Georges original 390 ’61 that got totaled in ’63. The current car you e see has has the same 390-401hp, 4 spd as the original car. Today George runs a nasty 66 Comet named Mr Twister in NSS along with his son Jody who runs a 66 Fairlane in NSS. Both cars are well into the 9’s dragging the bumpers. Screaming 427’s…

Thanks Jeremy! Maybe next year..Did you know they have an Autocross on Sunday at the Fairgrounds? You gotta come down and show those Merkur wierdo’s how it’s done.

BTW…The maroon 66 Fairlane is my Dad’s and the 65 Falcon Wagon with the BS sticker and Mini-Lites is my brother Dan’s cruiser.

    Great pics!

Cool to see my Pinto made the cut (the green one on gunmetal steelies). I drove it 3000 miles to make the show. That was an adventure and a half…

Thanks for sharing Joe. It’s been a few years since I’ve been down to the All-Ford Nats, I need to make another trip there obviously.
