(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – This gallery is loaded with all kinds of power plants and induction setups. There is a modern hemi in a hammered green Dart with Holley EFI. We see a 440-6 powered GTX with the awesome Air Grabber scoop. A silver Chevy II is sporting about everything under the sun Clifford offers for inline performance. A maroon Deuce features a Buick mill and a 6-pack sitting atop a fabricated long-port manifold. A shotgun ford is nestled between the rails of a black ’33 Ford. George Poteet’s ’57 was showing off its immaculately-detailed and highly-interesting motivation.
A track-nosed roadster with a small-block Chevy isn’t news unless you add in the snout-mounted blower. We even happened upon a blown Lincoln V-12 sitting on a stand waiting for someone to take it home. A warmed-over six in a ’67 Chevelle was said to deliver over 25mpg backed by a 5-speed and 4.10 gears. Different and thrifty. Be sure and check out the Offenhauser supercharger on the Orange Deuce. Pretty slick stuff.
