MAHLE Motorsport focuses on your engine and everything internally that is taking the abuse of exploding fuel charges. When it comes to your rotating assembly, these guys have you covered with pistons, rings, bearings, and more. And they were even able to provide us with a quick look at some new gaskets that will be unveiled fully later this year at the PRI Show in Indianapolis. We stopped by and nosed around to see what was new…scroll through the photos below and take a look for yourself!
You know Mahle’s work with rotating assembly pieces, but this is the first glimpse at an upcoming gasket line that will debut in full at PRI in December.
LS engines are hot and Mahle knows this. Which is why their PowerPak and PowerPak+ piston line addresses all manners of LS-based engines, with a range of specs that cover basic replacement to high-power, boosted or nitrous engines.
…and we mean ALL LS engines.
These pistons feature hard anodized top ring grooves and gas ports to keep the rings happy while you’re making GM’s current V8 series behave well above the engineer’s hopes and dreams. Let’s face it: no matter how prepared they were, no engineer can stand up to a racer with a goal.
This PowerPak+ piston is for the late model Ford guys who started out with a basic Coyote 5.0L, but are upgrading the heads to the Voodoo style.
And this beefy slug is for a big-block Ford that will be running either Super Cobra Jet, Kaase P51 or AFR 14° heads.
