(Photos by Jeremy George) – From the hot rods and muscle cars of California, we zip clear across the country and land at the Hartford fair grounds outside of Hartford, Connecticut. That’s the site of the 22nd Annual Endless Mountain Antique Truck Show. BangShifter and fellow truck lover Jeremy George was on the scene taking in the action, big and small. As this show has been going on for more than 20 years, it has a multi-generational following. The show is open to all makes and models of trucks so this gallery will show you some classics from 1950s and 1960s Detroit in the form of pickup trucks, all the way up through the mighty Macks, Brockways, Kenworths, and others.
While Chad likes ribbing me about my personal obsession with big old trucks, there are lots of you out there in reader-land that feel the same way. Either that or we’re creating a lot of old truck fans out there and I’d certainly be happy about that. These big trucks, as much as any classic muscle car, or restored old car, have a place in the hobby. Our country was largely built on their shoulders and it’s only right that we celebrate them today!
