If you squint and imagine this 1960 Oldsmobile lowered, with a freshly painted set of steelies and caps, you can see yourself driving it down the highway on Hot Rod Power Tour. This thing could be cruising perfection with just a few tweaks. If it was mine I think I’d lower it a couple of inches, I’d freshen up the wheel and tire combo, and I’d screw a street sign to the floor to “fix” the rust and be on my way. Maybe, if I was feeling ambitious, I’d install a Sniper 2 EFI and swap a 700r4 or 4L60e into it, but it sure wouldn’t be a requirement. Selling my 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88
Last on the road in the 90s
The good:
Runs drives and stops
100% original paint top to bottom.
Will buff out pretty nice.
Car has never been wrecked, repaired or painted.
Clean title in my name.
New brakes (shoes, hoses , master cylinder, wheel cylinders.
New fuel system (carb, lines, pump)
New cooling system (water pump, rad hoses, belt, T stat, gasket, control valve)
New spark plugs
Front wheel bearings repacked
Interior is all there and original, never been out.
New door/ignition key
The not so good:
Drivers front foot well needs a patch.
Starter could use a rebuild
Tires are within date code but are kinda flat spotted.
Might work themselves out.
Dash lights don’t work.
The car just came out of long term storage to being back on the road.
Will still need some love.
I’d recommend a trailer unless you are brave.
