ChallengerFest 7 will be invading Bowling Green, Kentucky for one day of show and for the first time, two days of some serious go! Billet Technology is leading the sponsorship charge, OSTDyno covering all of the track preparation at Beech Bend Raceway, ModernMoparForum.com is sponsoring the Unlimited Shootout, and the Modern Street Hemi Shootout will be using the event as the season kickoff, which means serious players with serious power will be ripping up the track.

Last year we stumbled onto ChallengerFest by pure accident and had a ball. Jay “Speedy” Orrand started the deal as a meet-and-greet fun day and it has been growing by leaps and bounds ever since. Friday is a show and shine day that will see the Holiday Inn parking lot turn into an informal car show that lasts as long as people are willing to stay awake. Saturday and Sunday, the racing is on, and it is competitive. We saw everything from V6 Chrysler 300s to Hellcats going down the strip, and they were not taking it easy. Even the prettiest show cars were on the line with slicks bolted on, ready to turn rubber into dust. Think of it as the Mopar version of LSFest and you have the right idea: lots of horsepower, lots of racing, plenty to look at and nowhere near enough time to do it all in.
