First Look: 2015 Saleen S302, And The Tuner Isn’t Playing Around With The New Pony

First Look: 2015 Saleen S302, And The Tuner Isn’t Playing Around With The New Pony

The new Mustang is certainly an interesting piece, but everyone and their mother knows that while the cars are good from the factory, that the aftermarket is what makes the Mustang special…and kick ass. And one tuner, one of many, stands out for taking the standard Mustang and transforming them into something to behold: Saleen. Their S-series of modified Mustangs are known for coming to the party with a baseball bat hidden behind their back, and with the new S550 Mustang debuting, it was only a matter of moments before touted their wares.

And wares worth sampling, indeed. Saleen has a tiered model line that seems to resemble fine whiskey: White Label, Yellow Label and Black Label. All sound tempting, so here’s the breakdown on what to expect on the upcoming Saleen Mustangs:

The White Label: This will be the naturally-aspirated “base” model, with the bodykit that includes a new rear wing and a heat-extracting hood, new exhaust, limited slip differential and suspension pieces

The Yellow Label: Like the White Label, but with a supercharger.

The Black Label: In addition to everything above, the Black Label gets a center induction hood (hoodscoop), more body kitting, a different tail treatment with integrated exhaust, more suspension parts, illuminated sill plates, Alcantara seats, and a ton of colors to choose from.

Saleen has already started taking reservations for the S302. For $2,015 (cute) you can get your name on the list to be the first one on your block to have the new pet monster of a Mustang.
