With all the junk going on with the domestic car makers, Detroit needs a lift. The good news is that they’ll get a good one on August 15th, 2009, in the form of the 15th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world’s largest single-day car event. It attracts more than 40,000 cars and one million people over the course of a single day. The show starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m. It is held on a 16-mile stretch of the legendary Woodward Boulevard that spans through nine Michigan towns.

Simply put, there is nothing like it anywhere else on Earth. And we have yet to mention the pre-parties and cruises and…um…illegal competition activities that happen in the week that leads up to the big day.

As Chad and I put together our summer travel schedules this event keeps grabbing our collective eye. It would be a great place to see thousands of bitchin’ cars and we’re guessing we could also meet lots of you guys and girls.

So BangShifters, who’s going to the event? Stand up and be counted.
