With Chrysler essentially living on the government monetary feed-bag for the time being and GM seemingly headed that way shortly, some information has surfaced to suggest that the government is not too keen on funding corporate racing budgets.
It’ll suck hardcore, but even we think it’s an insane way to spend tax money. Backing race teams has never been the business of the federal government. The Orlando Sentinel newspaper ran an item on its website suggesting that Chrysler’s days as a sponsor are on the wane.
It makes sense that the government wouldn’t pay that bill but that doesn’t mean it will stink less if it goes down.
