Happy Labor Day From BangShift.com!

Happy Labor Day From BangShift.com!

The end of summer and the arrival of autumn can be marked in many ways. There is the official method, which is the autumnal equinox, which occurs in the early morning hours of Monday, September 23, 2019 this year. There are those who start looking forward to colored leaves, crisper, cooler air and the lingering scents of burning leaves, dry grasses and, …*sniff, sniff*…yep, that has to be pumpkin spice. The Halloween prop stores start setting up about this time in earnest, and if you look you might see an early Christmas reference or two start appearing out of thin air. But the arrival for fall at BangShift Mid-West is easily marked: it’s the moment when the combines come out and the corn gets mowed down. As I was headed south to pay Uncle Tony a visit, I found that I was running over stripped corncob ends along the road that leads to the house and shop. It’s only a matter of time before the leaves on the trees pack it up.

With that, comes the holiday we are no doubt certain you are celebrating today: Labor Day, the unofficial end of the summer season. We hope that you are taking full advantage of the time off and are out enjoying some time off before the chill starts to drift into the air and the holidays start to become a focus for the rest of the year. Go barbecue, go tubing, go hit the road…go enjoy yourselves. To those who still work on Labor Day, the police, the first responders, and the military, we tip our hats to you in thanks and hope you are able to work around the holiday for a break.

On behalf of Brian and Chad, go enjoy the day off. And stay tuned…the anarchy that LS Fest East promises to be is just days away!
