Happy Mother’s Day From All Of Us At BangShift.com

Happy Mother’s Day From All Of Us At BangShift.com

Without moms, there would be no hot rodding, plain and simple. All of us here at BangShift would like to wish moms in all corners of the globe a happy Mother’s Day today and express our gratitude to all of the mothers who have supported the efforts of gearheads in their respective families. From packing sandwiches into a cooler for a day at the races, to slinging wrenches in the pits, moms have been there every step of the way in the history of hot rodding. They ran the clocks at early drag strips, handed out time slips, and loaned racers money to get the stuff they needed for the coming weekend’s activities.

On a more personal level, mom’s forced a smile when they saw you tearing your car apart in the driveway because they knew it’s what made you the happiest and ultimately formed you into what you are today. Moms provided a willing ear, shoulder to lean on, and a ham sandwich when the job that was supposed to take two hours lasted three days. No moms = no hotrodding. That simple.

Special thanks goes out to Judy Reynolds and Ginny Lohnes who have smiled, grimaced, supported, worried for, and ultimately been a driving force for Chad and I here at Bangshift. They are wise, tolerant, and understanding beyond all rational measure….we love you two!

FROM CHAD AND I TO YOU AND YOURS, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! HUG A MOM, VISIT HER WHEREVER SHE MAY BE, AND FOR GOD’S SAKE, DON’T WRENCH IN HER DRIVEWAY…AT LEAST FOR TODAY!

My summer job in college was working on the township garbage trucks here on the jersey shore. Mom often greeted me and dad with a cold drink at days end…a gin and tonic!!
