What started as some chatter on the BangShift.com forums has quickly become a weekend of fun at Beaver Springs Dragway in scenic and beautiful Beaver Springs, Pennsylvania. This is not some kind of official event at the track or super organized deal, it’s more like a get together of readers, forum members, and anyone wanting to have a last hurrah with their hot rod before winter.

We’re going to gather at the track on October 17th and bench race, oogle each others junk, and watch several of our readers, members, friends, and enemies tear their stuff up on the well traveled Beaver Springs Dragway quarter mile. We’re planning on a loosely organized barbeque as well.

Many people are headed down on Friday to make a weekend of it, and several have made reservations at the Country Hearth Inn in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, so that is the official party head quarters for the weekend.

Cherry Bomb exhaust has stepped up to the plate and will supply a set of mufflers for the best forum member reaction time of the day and you’ll have a couple options to choose from as we’ve got some different products from their extensive lines to offer the best leaver of the day. (We had mentioned on a forum thread that we’d give these to the low ET of the meet, but thought that the reaction time contest would give everyone a shot).

We’re not renting the track, this is a test and tune day that we are crashing and will be having a barrel of laughs at. We just want to stress that this is a fun weekend that will be full of bench racing, time at the drags, and cold adult beverages when the racing is done. You simply can’t beat that with a stick. Lohnes will be there as Chad will be working at Famoso Dragway in Bakersfield, California, covering the California Hot Rod Reunion. Sucker!
