Killer Barn Find: A 100% Original, Running and Driving 1932 Ford Tudor

Killer Barn Find: A 100% Original, Running and Driving 1932 Ford Tudor

Ever cruise your Duesenberg in a parade, run into an older woman who has an all original 1932 Ford in her family that she is looking to sell, and drive the unrestored, totally original find home? We’ve done it so many times we can’t remember, but Joel Nystrom had his first such encounter recently and the story is so cool we had to share it.

As mentioned, Nystrom put his classic Duesenberg in a local town parade and one of the people in attendance was a friend of Joel’s mom. After the parade, Joel attended a carnival where he met up with his mom and she introduced him to the folks that ultimately sold him their all original ’32.

The woman told the story of the car which here uncle had bought new. The car had been with her family for all of its life and recently, she lost suitable storage for it and it has been driven about once a year by her brother and then put away, awaiting another trip around the block. Joel loved the story and was interested in the car but did not push the issue because he obviously saw the family connection with the car.

It didn’t take but a couple days for the woman to express her interest to sell the car and Joel made and offer. A small negotiation took place and ultimately, Joel bought the car. It came complete with the original tools, hand crank, and owners’ manual! Joel fired the car up and drove the stucker home. Awesome, right!

To read the whole story in Joel’s words, and to see a bunch more photos of the car hit the link below!
