We got tipped by multiple people to this killer video showing an event called Rock-N-Rods, held in Sioux City, Iowa. While lots of cities host car shows, few actually create a safe eighth-mile drag strip and allow participants to let it all hang out on a city street! This type of collaboration between show promoters, city government, and gearheads is awesome and should serve as an example to other places that are considering events like this.
We really like the fact that the cars competing weren’t just a bunch of limp wristed street rods. Oh no, there appear to have been plenty of cars wearing full slicks and drivers in safety gear, etc. Hell, the city even cut concrete burnout pads into the street and appear to have paved the road recently for the event.
This is 100% BangShift approved and if you are anywhere in the Sioux Area, you need to hit this event in 2012!
How can you NOT approve? City, organizers, racers, EVERYBODY should be applauded!
Wow, I’m glad some city in America still has their balls left. Awesome!
