Killer Drag Video: Peter Farber’s 6-Second, 1972 Dodge D100 Truck

Killer Drag Video: Peter Farber’s 6-Second, 1972 Dodge D100 Truck

Of all our looney friends, Peter Farber stands alone. He currently runs an awesome 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Pro Mod, but the dude cut his teeth in the 1972 Dodge D100 truck featured in this video. The full on tube chassis machine was the next evolutionary step from the actual steel 1972 D100 Farber ran down into the 7.30s!

The truck you’ll see here has a cab and bed made from carbon fiber, a chassis built by Jon Sandahl’s Tube Chassis Designz shop, and a blown alky-burning 526ci Hemi that managed to shove this rolling brick deep into the 6s.

This truck put on a show every time it ran as you’ll see in the footage below. The short wheelbase, Lenco-violence on launch, and bad aero made this truck oh so wrong, and oh so right all at once.

Farber still has the truck, but his Pro Mod is way quicker, so it is resting for the current time.
