The World Rally Championship is a series that we basically have to watch from afar here in the USA, but it’s got some bitchin’ racing with wild little cars wrung out to within an inch of their lives on every imaginable terrain other than moon rocks.
It’s uncool that they do not host a race on the North American continent, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t cook a few hours of payroll time learning more about the series. Ford is a major player in it and the version of the Focus they compete with is something to lust after.
The SCCA has its Pro Rally series and it’s the closest thing we’ve got, so you can check on that schedule and take in a race with your pals. Just realize that as cool as that series is, you ain’t seen the big leagues until you’ve witnessed the crazies across the pond.
