Moral of the Story: Put a Fire Extinguisher in Your Hot Rod!

Erv Julien, the owner of the Ford involved in the car-b-que happening in the lead photo of this blog item, is lucky to be alive, but he was unlucky enough to watch his otherwise bitchin’ 1934 Ford burn to the ground because he didn’t have the tools to stop it.

Hit the link below for the whole story, but safe to say, the whole ordeal would have been minimized substantially if the owner had simply equipped the car with a good fire extinguisher. It seems dorky to say, but a fire extinguisher should be at the ready every time you venture out in your old car, hot rod, or truck. That’s a simply fact. Now, if you want to go kill some ricers because the only extinguishers left in the stores are chromed and contain who knows what for suppression liquid, we’d skip them.

The car in the lead photo is toast. The owner will have it fixed but the thing will never be the same for him again. Hit the link below to see the photos and read the story of a lucky guy, a lucky but unprepared guy.
