Vintage Carnage and Gearhead History: Wreckage and Cool Photos From the 1950’s

Here’s bunch of scans from one of my grandfather’s scrap books. In his younger days, Grandpa was a heck of a scrap-booker. He snipped new stories about trucks, trucking, and lots of old photos of crashes and wrecks. There’s some neat stuff in there!  When looking at how these cars and trucks took impact it is a wonder that everyone who crashed a car wasn’t killed in the 1950’s. We also dug out a hilarious news story about a truck driver hauling a load of alcohol who had gone missing. Guess where they found him?

Check out the killer Army prototype tractor down at the bottom as well. We never even knew that big guy existed!
