Thanks to our pal D2 for the tip on this one. The NBC television network is suing CORR for breach of contract as CORR has stopped paying the network for timeslots it had committed to buying to air its races.
This is not short money we’re talking about here either. The suit is wrangling over $4.8 million, which CORR claims it simply does not have. The series has been in the soup financially since the latter part of the 2008 season when it was forced to cancel some of its races due to lack of funding.
