New Pro Touring Competition, Run to the Coast at El Toro, California, sponsored by Ridetech

The Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational held right after SEMA is really kicking up the action in the world of Pro Touring fans who really like to beat on their cars. Bill Howell is a guy who likes to drive hard (he broke his Charger real bad at the Optima event in 2009), and he operates the Run Through the Hills event in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Now he has a new event, the Run to the Coast to be held April 2-4 at the old air base in El Toro, California.

This is no pansy event, because Bill is encouraging Pro Tourers to drive cross-country to get there, and then to compete in real events like autocross and 0-60-0. Naturally, the event sposor is Ridetech.

Also, Optima has stated that the winner of Run to the Coast will be invited to participate in the next Ultimate Street Car Invitational. The winner is named King of the Coast, and can only be a 1980-or-older car.

Only 65 cars are being accepted, so sign up now if you want to run. Bill has a basic web site for more details, click here to see it.
