A growing number of hotrodders are recognizing the ’78-’88 GM G-body as
a rising star in the musclecar arena . One of GM’s last full-frame
cars, they are stylish, available, and affordable. We’ve seen the rise
in popularity as well, and have invested a considerable amount of
resources to make sure they perform as well as they look! Some of the
products Ridetech currently offers for these beauties are StrongArms,
ShockWaves, and MuscleBars; and now with the addition of our new
Monotube coil-over line, we can turn a G-body into a real performer with
a complete bolt-on system!
When designing a new rear system, we eliminated the separate shock and
coil which allowed us to easily adapt a Coil-Over or Shockwave utilizing
the OEM shock mounts. This rear system allows for a complete bolt-on
installation with NO fabrication required! The ease of installation is
just one of the great features this new product offers…not only will
this system allow you to alter the ride height with either a push of a
button (when using a Shockwave) or twist of a spanner wrench (when using
the Coil-Overs ), this system will greatly improve the ride quality and
handling performance of your classic G-Body.

This looks like it could be made to work on pre-’78 GM stuff as well. The lower trailing arm is nearly the same at the axle while the coil bucket on the frame is smaller and would need to have a bracket made extending it toward the rear. Cool srtuff
