We always love stopping by to see what the team at Chris Alston’s Chassisworks have developed and debuted each year at the SEMA show. This year they were showing off a typically awesome array of parts that ranged from the extremely hardcore billet spindles to an upgraded truck arm suspension for Chevrolet pickups that will both improve ride quality and improve the performance of the rigs that it is bolted on.
The company’s revolutionary and highly popular CDS components were on display as well. Racers who are utilizing centrifugal blowers have long loved the CDS and how it allows them to package their superchargers. It has been out for a while but the company is always tweaking on their products to make sure that they stay ahead of the curve and serve the ever evolving needs of racers.
Our favorite item that we checked out? The 1963-1972 Chevy C10 conversion rear frame kit. Everyone wants a short bed C10. Because of that, long bed trucks are relatively cheap in comparison to their short box brethren. The move is to buy a long bed and then convert it to the cooler look of a short bed. There are kits and plan to do this that you can buy but they are not nearly as bad ass as the Alston’s solution. Mandrel bent frame rails, four link rear suspension, easy weld-in installation and it ships ready to go.
Make sure you check out the billet spindles below as well. If you really want to build something with stout front end pieces, those are the way to do. Available for a bunch of different applications, they are art work!
The photos below tell the story! Check out these killer parts –
