Ok, if you’ve been wanting a budget-friendly way to get some interesting and useable metal or a whole project car, this is your heads up. This is the NCS Antique Auto liquidation, it’s up in Mobridge, South Dakota, and it’s being treated as an auto auction. And the prices are good…that Ford wrecker you see up there is the most expensive vehicle at just over two thousand dollars. Keep in mind, these are vehicles that have been in the fields for a bit…the elements have had their way, some vehicles are stripped down or dismantled, there’s quite a few missing titles, and such, but there are complete vehicles and some will run and drive. Just a quick peruse finds a few tasty bits:
1974 Plymouth Road Runner, currently at $250.
1966 Ford Ranch Wagon, running and driving, currently at $26.00. That’s no typo.
1977 Chevrolet Camaro 350/4-speed with air conditioning, running and driving, $31.00
Seriously, check this out. There’s seven pages worth of options. There’s a ton of 1970s era Ford trucks, and the auction as a whole spans the 1920s to the newest cars, a couple of mid-1990s Caprices.
Might bid on the Cadillac “Hurst” on page two…who knows, it might be one of those oddball factory options. Rowing through the gears on the way to the “final resting place” could be fun. 🙂
Wow! a super rare Vega SS wagon with ‘pop-out’ windshield option!! You don’t see those every day either!!!
