One of the most colorful characters in the BangShift Forums is “pdub”, who was formerly known as Peewee. We don’t mean colorful as yours truly (meaning that every fifth word usually earns you a reprimand), but that P-dub is one of the most interesting, entertaining, and engaging characters on the board. Together with his partner-in-crime “Sue Unit”, they dove into BangShift head-first. They hosted a meal at their house that saw a whole fleet of BangShifters parked on their lawn like insolent teenagers. They fed them…and we don’t want to know the cost. And then, he had to go and do it….old Peewee bought himself a red Mustang, or more specifically, his red S197 Mustang that he rescued out from under a tree and out of it’s stock form.

P-dub, Sue Unit and Red have been on adventures together. There has been track time, as Peewee learns the ins and outs of road course racing. And, of course, there was the inevitable issue of the power becoming only ‘adequate’, and the desire for something more. In this case, Sue Unit herself was the one who suggested putting a blower on the little red Mustang. (Be honest, guys…who here is severely jealous of Peewee right now?) So Peewee did the smart thing, moved quick before she could change her mind, and now there is a Vortech V3 blower sitting on top of Red’s 4.6L three-valve. The Mustang has hit the dyno and there are power figures that make Red something formidable, and there is dyno footage that you can see, but if you want to know if the Vortech was really worth it, click into the build thread and see what all has truly gone into this build.
