Building Aluminum Body Panels For A 1979 Firebird From Scratch! English Wheeling Aluminum Panels – 1979 Firebird Part 1

This is awesome! This project is a 1979 Firebird and it is being built by a guy who decided he didn’t want restoration parts, but rather to build as much of the car out of aluminum as possible. In order to do that, he decided he needed to attend the Pro Shaper Workshop so he could learn from the masters. This video series is going to follow along on some of his panel shaping and learning and you are going to want to pay attention.

Video Description:

Reviving a Classic 1979 Firebird Restoration Project Join us on this fascinating journey as Tim, an Australian Churchill Fellow, embarks on a unique car restoration project at the Pro Shaper Workshop in Charlton, Massachusetts.

Tim takes on the ambitious task of restoring a 1979 Firebird, originally from Kentucky, adding his own twist by incorporating aluminum components.

This isn’t your typical patch panel repair; instead, it’s an exploration of new techniques and methods. From the front bumper to the door skin and guards, watch as Tim and Wray discuss their strategies to bring this classic car back to life, all while overcoming the hurdles of a rust bucket.

Along the way, they’ll share their experiences, insights, and the cultural significance of this iconic car. Stay tuned for a series of videos documenting the transformation of this Firebird, as well as insights into the diverse projects the Pro Shaper team engages in.
