It’s time for the door panels to go in the bug!
Sometimes building project cars can be tough because staying motivated becomes a challenge when you don’t see much progress for a while. But when you can make some serious progress on one area of the car, it can be so motivating. Such is the case with this really cool interior from TMI that Jefferson is installing at Red Dirt Rodz. Check out the before and after on this forgotten VW project! It turned out so well that Jefferson and Josie are fired up to get after the rest of this project so they can get it into cruising shape! Video Description:
Old crusty door panels are no fun, no matter what car you own, and our 73 Beetle is no different. With the new TMI Products seats, the original door panels were definitely not going to cut it. So Jefferson yanked out the old floppy, weathered door cards and swapped in the new ones we got from @Tmiproducts-Upholstery. These panels were custom made to match the seats, and they really make the interior pop.
Installing these is really easy, you just need a little patience and some basic hand tools. The TMI panels are ready to go, you only have to pop out a few perforated holes to match your vehicle’s doors, install the clips and pop them in, then replace all the original (or replacement) hardware.
Jefferson shows you how to do both the front and rear panels on The BUG! so you can do it for your project.
