If I had a quarter for every car I’ve ever owned with shiny paint, I’d have $1.61. If I had a quarter for every car I have owned with NOT shiny paint, I’d have enough for a steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have paint job skills even though I’m trying to remedy that this year. So I’ve just resolved to drive ugly junk until then. Scott Liggett is much the same, but has decided that he wants to see what kind of headway he can make towards getting his 1976 El Camino to not look like you drug it out of a junkyard, even though he drug it out of a junkyard. And we approve!
Check it out below as Scott works at getting rid of some of the ugly.
Video Description:
My Chevy El Camino was once two tone red. Now, it’s more two tone chalky white and just plain ugly. I am going to try to do this on the cheap, because I am cheap and poor. The first thing to do is comet wash it. When that failed to do much of anything, I started wet sanding it. Finally, getting some red color back. Follow along as I try to make my daily driving beater El Camino less ugly!
