Here is Part 3 of the Sweetheart Roadster’s Dash build, which includes finishing up the double glovebox design and getting all the gauges installed. It’s a pretty cool idea and really does play well with the layout of this custom roadster. Now that everything is in place, this thing really is starting to look like a hot rod.
The Sweetheart Roadster is just one of the cool projects that are being built by the Iron Trap Garage crew, and there has been a lot of metal work going on to get it looking like a complete car again. Now it’s time for some customization to happen in the dash, not only with the layout of the gauges but also molding the dash into the doors. There is a lot to do, including more additions besides gauges, but this first video is all about the layout and design and then cutting some serious holes. Check it out.

Video Description:
In the last video, Matt worked on creating the glove boxes and lids. After looking at the dash for the past week, Matt has got a game plan figured out and is ready to work on the hinges. Along with the hinges, Matt works on hammering the edges of the lids around TIG wire to finish them off. After working on the hinges, Matt works on laying out the gauges, to get a perfect spacing between them all. After a lot of work with the shears, the gauges look so killer with the functional lids and mid-century modern handles. Let us know what you think in the comments below!!
