Meet Project Corkscrew: QA1 Is Building A 1969 Dodge D100 Sweptline Truck And It Is Going To Be Great

QA1 is a company that never sits still. Whether they are developing hardcore products for drag racing, pro touring, bolt on kits for popular cars, or creating solutions for those owners who currently don’t have one readily available, we love that they are so passionate about innovation. Their newest venture is creating a bolt on front suspension system for the super cool and largely underserved Dodge D100 Sweptline trucks of the 1960s. They have scored a mint 1969 D100 and Project Corkscrew (it came from a California winery) is its name.

This video is a walk around of the truck and kind of an explainer of what the plan is. In the coming days and week’s we’ll be following this build and the products that the company is developing for people at home to do the same thing.

This two wheel drive truck has a beam front axle and leaf springs. It was built to be a working rig and not to handle corners. That’s going to change with a bolt on independent front suspension, coil overs, and more. The stance will improve, the rear will be updated as well and this thing will be out and about cruising the highway.

Fun build. Here’s the start –
