Question of the Day: What Are You Doing This Weekend – Wrencing, Racing, Relaxin’?

Question of the Day: What Are You Doing This Weekend – Wrencing, Racing, Relaxin’?

Labor Day weekend is one of those weekends that is packed with stuff to do, especially car stuff. There are car shows everywhere. Drag races like the YellowBullet Nationals, the US Nationals, and local action are all keyed up and ready to go, Drag Week is coming like a freight train, and then there are your personal projects. I got a head start on the weekend by wrenching on Buford T Justice all day on Thursday finally completing the suspension upgrade and thrashing on the car. I’ll be at the strip announcing all weekend, Chad will be at a Goodguys event, and we’re wondering what you’ll be doing.

Maybe this is the long weekend you put the wrenches down and hit the lake with a full cooler and a fishing rod. Maybe you’ll work for 72 hours straight to get your car ready for Drag Week. Maybe you’ll pull a hybrid of that and thrash on your stuff to get it ready for an event later in the weekend.

Fall is right around the corner boys and girls. The weather will cool off and you’ll be putting your toys away until next season. Make the most of the time we have left (unless you live on SoCal or something and then we’re just going to grit our teeth and wish you well while cursing you!).

What are you doing this weekend? Bringing the thunder or clicking it into cruise control? You tell us!

Flagging NTPA tractor pulls on Saturday in Inidana, then working a 24 hour shift at the fire dept. Sunday, then 12 hours on the ambulance Monday, so this holiday’s pretty much shot for me.

My 3 day weekend just got started. Today is the day to take care of domestic type stuff and later on I’ll be working on a model to relax. Tomorrow is cleaning and organizing the garage so I have room to pull the engine and trans, swapping the radio and speakers from the TBird to the truck, and tinkering with the truck some. Tuesday is some quality time with the TBird That reminds me, gotta call Stan to see if I can still use his hoist Tuesday.
