Racing Junk Find: The Craziest Freaking Project We Have Ever Seen

We were happily searching RacingJunk recently when we navigated into the exhibition drag racing vehicle section. We expected a jet car, wheelstander, or some other vehicle along those lines. Instead we found the wildest abandoned project we think we’ve ever seen, a partially built monster truck sized motorcycle.

Not a trike, or some weirdo quad, this is an actual motorcycle with a 76″ rear tire that weighs 1700lbs and a narrower front tire that stands 76″ as well, but only weighs 800lbs. The engine, sitting in the middle, looking all racy-like, is a 350ci small block Chevy that is hooked to a Powerglide transmission.

The seller claims to have “lost interest” we think that he “came to the realization that whomever rides this will die, and quick”. The frame is partially built and some stuff is mocked up, but this baby is a long way from done.

The immediate question we have involves the steering. Specifically, how the F is anyone supposed to steer it? The Jolly Green Giant would be laid out on this monster like a Hyabusa and even he doesn’t have the wing span to grab both ends of the handle bars!

Also, it seems like this “bike” would topple over at the first hint of car crushing, house crushing, accidental pet crushing, or on sweet jumps.

Buy it and finish it. We’ll run the video camera on your first ride…from a hilltop three quarters of a mile away.
