As you may heard already, racer and fabricator Shaun Carlson has passed away. Carlson suffered from a heart condition known as Brugada Syndrome and had recently received a pacemaker to help deal with the situation. No official word has come through as to the cause of death. Carlson was only in his mid 30s and had accomplished lots in his gearhead career. Though most BangShift.com readers may know of him through his time driving an NHRA Pro Stock racer, that was but a small part of his career.
Our own direct dealings with Carlson came during that time period. We spoke to Shaun in the pits about a range of things and came away very much impressed with the sheer breadth of stuff he had been involved in.
