Robbie Gordon and Crew Chief Penalized by NASCAR

Following the Coca-Cola 600 on May 27th, the rearend from Robbie Gordon’s Stock Car was confiscated and after being inspected, found to have had too much toe in it by a single measly one degree. NASCAR rules state that the cars are only to have plus or minus one degree of toe and this particular piece was found to have two degrees.

Gordon was fined 50 owner and driver points, but his crew chief, Kirk Almquist, was dinged for $50,000 and put on probation for the rest of the season. That’s one expensive rearend. Gordon is not happy and as usual not bashful in stating his opinion of the situation.
