The second man who was involved with the theft of the roof panel of the Porsche Carrera GT that Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas died in has been sentenced to six months in jail and three years of formal probation. 26-year-old Anthony Janow pled no contest to felony grand theft and misdemeanor counts of destroying evidence and obstructing a police officer. The other individual involved, 19-year-old Jameson Witty, was sentenced to six months jail time and three years formal probation in August.
Jameson and Witty had already been warned by Los Angeles County Sherriff’s deputies to not take anything from the car or the scene when, on November 30th, 2013, the pair stole the roof panel from the tow truck that was hauling the remains of the Porsche to an impound yard. In an apology posted to his Instagram account, Witty said: “I wanted to say my intentions for the piece I took off the tow truck were to make a memorial out of it. Paul was a childhood idol to me and many. At the time I was not thinking about the consequences it could have, I never wanted it to be like this I wasn’t going to sell the piece to make a profit. Nobody in this world is perfect, we all make mistakes.”

Waste time in jail.
