Six Turbo Ford EcoBoost on the Way to Fight GM Entry

Six Turbo Ford EcoBoost on the Way to Fight GM Entry

Ford boss Alan Mulally was front and center at a media day conference at the 2010 New York Auto Show yesterday, revealing plans for a six turbo EcoBoost engine that will “kick the snot” out of the rumored GM twin-turbo V6 that is in the final preproduction testing phases at an April first press conference.

“We figured something like this was coming,” Mulally said. “The good news is that we planned for it all along and shortly we will drop the curtain on an EcoBoost V6 that is equipped with six turbochargers.”

The stunned crowd began peppering Mulally with questions about the engine. Repeating a question back at a curious reporter Mulally said, “Where are all the turbos placed? That was one of the toughest things to figure out, but we did. We did some focus group testing and found out that the whole auto industry obsession with storage space, cup holders, and that kind of crap was way off base. Hell, we’ve got turbos in the glove compartment, arm rests, we even hid one in the seatback and it doubles as an ass warmer.”

General Motors executives were clearly stunned by the revelation and were only able to stammer out a profanity laden, nearly incoherant string of words that are not fit to print. One GM official dropped his pants and mooned Mulally screaming, “Kiss my LS9!”

With Ford surging in the sales department and rolling out innovative products the public is interested in buying, Mulally’s confidence is at an all time high. The six turbo engine seems to be a product of that. “I’ll put it to you guys this way,” he said. “If we were going to the prom and GM was taking the hottest girl in school, we’d go alone, and then bang GM’s date later that night.”
