Quick Peek: A New ’67 Shelby GT 500 Mustang Doorslammer Body From Cynergy Composites

Our pal and BangShift reader Stu Wotypka is the talented guy behind many of the race car renderings you see popping up on the internet from time to time. His business, ID Motorsport Design specializes in such things and he recently did the renderings for Cynergy Composites to feature their new ’67 Shelby GT 500 Mustang body. This is one cool looking piece and it shows up in just a nick of time. From Top Sportsman to Pro Mod, to the wild oultaw ranks of the ADRL, Camaro bodies are running amok. This baby is just what the doctor ordered!

Lots of times we see renderings that look far better than the finish product. One of the things we really like about this rendering is that the body appears to have great proportions and is not some oddly shaped blob pretending to look like a Mustang. Sure, it has bulges and alterations to fit the insane world of doorslammer drag racing, but it still looks like a Mustang.

Cynergy is one of the hottest companies in the body business these days and they took great pains to make sure this rendering will accurately reflect the finished product. The did that by parterning with Stu and doing the original rendering in vector format which uses plotted coordinates like CAD software. By doing that, the rendering is of perfect scale and can be used for building the pieces necessary to construct the body. Basically, this wasn’t just some pen and paper doodle, there was lots of work and technology involved!

Here’s the vector rendering and the finished product below!

Thanks to Stu for sharing these!
