In today’s complicated world of aftermarket parts and emission standards, it is always big news when a company has their product cleared for use in all 50-states. While many states do not have dedicated emissions testing and therefore people aren’t worried about such things, many states actually do and they are strict about it. That’s why the people at FAST went before the California Air Resources Board and plead their case for an emissions certification for their LSX, LSXR, and LSXRT 102mm intake manifolds that are bolt on performance pieces for the LS family of engines.
This is great news for late model performance car owners who are looking to wake up their rides. Whether it be cars or trucks, everyone is free and clear and when it is time for smog inspection, you won’t be trying to find “a guy” or avoiding it all together. While this announcement may pertain to late model performance cars and emissions, the reality is that these intake manifolds are a really good, quick bolt on for more power even if you have an older car with an LS swap. You’re not concerned with emissions but you are concerned with making horsepower and that’s what these pieces do the best. FAST has been a leader in LS intakes for some time and that’s not changing for the foreseeable future.

FAST™ LSX™, LSXR™ And LSXRT™ 102mm Intake Manifolds Are Now Emissions-Legal In All 50 States
Memphis, TN – The engineers at FAST™ teamed up with the airflow specialists at RHS® to develop polymer intake manifolds for late model LS car, truck and SUV applications. Now these state-of-the-art components have been legally certified for use in all 50 states.
Through Executive Order D-279-9, the State of California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B) has found the installation of FAST™ LSX™ 92mm, LSXR™ 102mm and LSXRT™ 102mm Intake Manifolds not to reduce the effectiveness of applicable vehicle pollution control systems. This means that a variety of late model GM car, truck and SUV applications (including the 1997-2013 Chevrolet Corvette, 2001-2013 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro, 2014 Chevrolet SS, 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V, 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird/Chevrolet Camaro, 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 GT, 1995 and earlier GM E-Rod and 1999-2013 LS-equipped trucks and SUVs with 4.8 to 6.0L engines) may legally run the LSX™ 92mm, LSXR™ 102mm or LSXRT™102mm Intake Manifold throughout the entire U.S. The certification for 2007 and newer truck and SUV engines pertains to cathedral port cylinder heads only.
These polymer manifolds provide a host of benefits over aluminum intakes, including lighter weight, increased strength and improved heat-dissipating characteristics. They offer the advantages of removable runners, while achieving gains of 20-25 horsepower dependent upon application. No matter where you live and whether you drive an LS-equipped late model car, truck or SUV, you too can now take advantage of all the impressive performance gains provided by FAST™ LSX™ 92mm, LSXR™ 102mm and LSXRT™ 102mm Intake Manifolds.
