Hedman Adds Full Length LS Swap Headers For Tri-Five Chevys – From Mild To Wild Engines, These Can Handle ‘Em All!

Hedman has been in business for 60 years now and they’ve never forgotten where they came from, meaning that they’re always coming into the market with new pieces to fit popular applications and solve the epic headache having custom built headers can be. In this case, Hedman saw a need in the LS-swap market place for full length headers to fit the iconic 1955-1957 Chevys that we all know and love. These cars (like virtually all others) are receiving LS engines at a hot clip and header selection for those people doing the swaps has been limited, especially for a quality full-length set. Hedman is filling that spot and they’re offering multiple variations of these headers to meet the horsepower demands of a wide range of customers.

These can be had as 1-3/4 primaties, 1-7/8 primaries, stepped 1-3/4 to 1-7/8 or straight up mondo 2″ primary tubes that can handle engines making serious amounts of snot on the street or strip. As with all Hedman Hedders, high temperature coatings are available and their thick flanges and high quality thick wall tubing come as standard equipment. Hedman has been a leader in the LS swap header field for some time and these new pieces carry on that tradition of quality that has kept people coming back to the Hedman brand for 60 years now.

HERE’S THE FULL RELEASE FROM HEDMAN AND A JUICY PHOTO FOR YOU TO ENJOY BELOW!

Hedman Husler Hedders’ full-length headers for LS-swapped Chevy Tri-5s deliver maximum performance with guaranteed fit.

Whittier, Calif. (February, 2014) – There are few cars as iconic as the 1955-1957 Chevy in the performance industry. Whether built as a drag racer, boulevard cruiser, or custom hot rod, “Shoebox” owners are always looking for a different and better way to make their cars stand out or go faster. With the increasing popularity of the modern GM LS engine, replacing a Tri-5’s original small block for its modernized cousin has opened up a whole new realm of power and performance. Now, with Hedman Husler Hedders’ full-length LS-swap headers for the ’55-’57 Chevy, enthusiasts can extract every last bit of horsepower from their modern powerplant.

Hedman Husler’s full-length headers are engineered to deliver maximum exhaust flow and the most horsepower possible, regardless of the engine’s power rating. This series of headers is designed to fit 1955-1957 Chevrolets equipped with transplanted LS engines and T-56, 4L60E, 4L65E, or 4L80E transmissions. Available with 1 3/4-inch, 1 7/8-inch, 1 3/4 to 1 7/8-inch stepped, and massive 2-inch mandrel bent primaries, these headers can complement everything from the basic street build to the heaviest breathing naturally aspirated or supercharged engines.

Built in the U.S.A., Hedman Husler’s LS swap headers are constructed with beefy, 3/8-inch flanges that keep the mandrel-bent primary tubes firmly attached to the engine, even under harsh driving conditions. These headers are available in your choice of either an uncoated finish (Part# 45610, 45630, 45620, and 45650), silver HTC high-temp ceramic-metallic coating (Part# 45616, 45636, 45626, and 45656), or in Hedman Husler’s new Black Maxx Black Ceramic Coating (Part# 45613, 45633, 45623, and 45653).

Mounting hardware, gaskets and installation instructions are also included with the headers. To guarantee fit, it is STRONGLY recommended that companion Muscle Rods LS swap conversion mount kits, which were designed at the same time as the headers, be used during installation. This ensures the engine is properly located in the engine bay, and even incorporate special channels to allow routing of header tubes. Yeah, but do they have headers for a marine BPM V12 engine, like the one in Gary Kollofski’s latest ’55? . . . Or twin BMW V12s, as in Kollofski’s under-construction ’57?
