MSD Releases Even More Reasons To Use Atomic LS EFI In Your LS Swap Project!

When MSD launched their Atomic LS platform last year at SEMA, it rocked lots of people right back on their heels. The system was designed to take all of the typical EFI swap headaches away from hot rodders using LS engines in whatever their particular application may be. The engineers at MSD managed to eliminate tons of wiring, lots of headaches, and create a system that has been enthusiastically embraced by rodders and BangShifters from coast to coast. Well, the good news is that they haven’t slept yet and are still improving their product, offering new solutions, and making life even easier for those of you swapping LS mills into stuff that wasn’t “supposed” to have one.

In this latest update, MSD announces the creation of a new part number (#2960) which is an Atomic LS system designed specifically for the muscled up LS7 platform (modern LS7 obviously, not the old 454). Because of that engine’s different intake manifold the system had to be tweaked to properly fit. Now that they’ve gotten that end of things squared away, LS7 swappers can have the same experience as other LS users.

Along with the LS7 Atomic, the company has also announced the addition of Atomic LS master kits that are specifically designed to fit engines with truck intake manifolds. Fact is, most people plucking LS engines from wrecking yards are getting them from trucks, so it only makes sense that the guys and girls at MSD would get a couple of kits together that are specifically designed to (early and late) truck intake manifold equipped engines.

Lastly, lots of Atomic users have been using a return style fuel system, even though the Atomic is designed to operate with or without a return line. Because of this and their want to insure quality components through the whole fuel system, MSD has intrduced PN 2922, the fuel pump return kit. Featuring an MSD specified and constructed return-style fuel pressure regulator, this is the ticket if you want to run your Atomic with a return line. The regulator comes with hoses, fittings, and clamps to boot.

Hell, we’re going to encourage you to read the release below because some of the stuff (HINT: DRIVE BY WIRE IS COMING) that MSD  is working on will below you mind!
