We love it when companies understand their customers and MSD certainly does. We got a tip from our man Chuy over at the MSD bunker in El Paso and he told us that the company has teamed up with the promoters of the “Summer’s Last Blast” car show and they’ve agreed to give the winner of the burnout contest a complete Atomic EFI setup for their car. While the show is a while off (it happens in early August) we figured that we’d give you PLENTY of time to get this thing on your calender and that also gives you plenty of time to gather some junk tires and ahhh, “practice” for the contest. The show is a big affair that takes place in Vernon, Texas and has been going strong for more than a decade.
Normally when you win a burnout contest you get a little plastic trophy, smoked brake shoes, and maybe some shards of steel belts to pick out of your inner fenders. If you can turn the truck at Summer’s Las Blast this year you’ll be leaving with a $2,000 EFI system and since we have been cruising Project Buford T Justice with our Atomic for a couple weeks, we can vouch for the coolness of the components. It is an easy install and you’ll dig the throttle response and increase in economy as well as the fun to drive factor.
