This story may actually top them all. A 61-year old Minnesota man named Dennis LeRoy was sentenced to 180 days in jail for drunk driving. Not news, right? We should probably add the small detail that he was driving a motorized recliner and crashed into a “real car” according to police. We are not making this up.
The chair, shown in the photo, was adorned with NHRA stickers. We’d be willing to bet this was built to cruise the infamous “zoo” that sets up camp across the street from Brainerd when the NHRA national event is contested there.
There are more details to be had on TMZ.com who reported on the story. We got tipped of by Dave Wallace who may or may not be trying to purchase said motorized chair from the police evidence room. Hell, the story says that it will cook along at 20 mph!
